Latest AVG 2011 Update Might Break Your PC

The latest update of the free Antivirus AVG 2011, has been reported to cause some issues that make a user’s PC non bootable. The update which is titled 271.1.1/3292 (432/3292) has then been removed from the company’s servers. The issue which is specific to Windows 7 X64 based PCs,  shows the following error when you restart your PC after installing the update.

STOP: c0000135 The program can’t start because %hs is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

If you haven’t restarted your 64-bit Windows 7 after installing this update, delete all the .prepare files in your AVG installation directory as showcased here.
